Build Routine

Common questions

Use one active, then make it hard to overthink.

Do I need Barrier Reset if I already moisturize?+

It’s built specifically to keep an azelaic acid routine comfortable: cushioning, fragrance-free, and non-stripping. If your current moisturizer already does that, great; if actives leave you tight or dry, this is the fix.

Isn’t a barrier cream just a moisturizer?+

The way a down duvet is just a blanket. Barrier Reset is built the way skin is built, with ceramides NP, AP, and EOP plus cholesterol, then loaded with squalane, panthenol, and beta-glucan for skin that actives leave feeling tight, stripped, and cranky.

Will it irritate my skin?+

Azelaic acid is one of the gentlest actives out there: it doesn’t cause the peeling or stinging that acids and retinoids can. If your skin is reactive, start a few nights a week, keep Barrier Reset in the routine, and build up as it stays comfortable.

How long until I see results?+

It’s gradual, not overnight. Many people notice calmer-looking redness within a few weeks, with more even-looking tone and post-blemish marks fading over roughly 8–12 weeks of consistent use. Individual results vary.

Is it safe to use during pregnancy?+

Azelaic acid as a single ingredient is widely considered one of the pregnancy- and breastfeeding-friendly options, but everyone’s different, so confirm with your doctor or OB first.

Will it make my skin more sun-sensitive?+

No. Unlike AHAs and retinoids, azelaic acid does not increase sun sensitivity, so you can use it morning or night. (Daily SPF is still smart for everyone.)

10+, 14+, or the serum: which one do I pick?+

First decide cream or serum. Cream: start at 10+ if you’re new or sensitive, step up to 14+ if 10% wasn’t enough. Prefer a weightless feel? Calm Clarity Serum 10+ is the same 10% in a lighter format. Either way, add Barrier Reset, and pick just one azelaic active.

Is Azeva right for acne, rosacea, or dark spots?+

Azeva is cosmetic skincare, not medical treatment. Many shoppers use it to improve the look of redness, post-blemish marks, and uneven texture. For persistent, painful, spreading, or severe symptoms, work with a dermatologist.
