What the AI Skin Advisor is

The AI Skin Advisor helps visitors think through cosmetic skincare routines, ingredient fit, product texture preferences, and Azeva product options. It may discuss common skin concerns at an educational level, but it is not a doctor, dermatologist, pharmacist, diagnostic tool, emergency service, or prescription-management tool.

Azeva products are cosmetics. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. If you describe severe pain, swelling, infection signs, eye-area symptoms, allergic reaction signs, open skin, rapidly spreading symptoms, pregnancy/nursing medication questions, or prescription changes, the advisor may direct you to a clinician instead of giving routine advice.

What data we process

When you use the AI Skin Advisor, Azeva processes:

  • Your chat messages and recent chat history in the current session.
  • Any skin-related information you choose to include, such as concerns, goals, routine, sensitivities, product reactions, pregnancy/nursing status, prescription-active context, or symptoms.
  • Structured Azeva product-match context generated by our server from your message, such as which Azeva products may fit the cosmetic goals you described.
  • Safety signals generated by our server, such as whether your message appears to mention urgent symptoms, prescription uncertainty, or pregnancy/nursing uncertainty.
  • Technical data needed to run and protect the feature, such as IP-derived rate-limiting keys, browser/user-agent data, CSRF tokens, timestamps, and hosting logs.

How we use this data

  • To generate your AI Skin Advisor response.
  • To attach Azeva product cards when the response contains a concrete Azeva recommendation.
  • To apply safety checks for red-flag symptoms, medication/prescription uncertainty, and medical-claim boundaries.
  • To prevent spam, abuse, scraping, prompt-injection attacks, and security incidents.
  • To maintain and debug the service using limited operational logs.

AI and service providers

The AI Skin Advisor currently uses DeepSeek as the AI model provider. Azeva sends DeepSeek the current message, relevant recent chat history, our system instructions, and Azeva product context so it can generate a response. We may change AI providers or add tools later, but if doing so materially changes what data is processed or shared, we will update this notice.

We also use hosting, database, email, security, and rate-limiting providers to operate the website. The Skin Advisor does not intentionally write your chat transcript to Azeva's app database today, but provider systems may process or temporarily retain logs under their own security, abuse-prevention, and service-operation rules.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell AI Skin Advisor chat content.
  • We do not use AI Skin Advisor chat content for targeted advertising.
  • We do not share AI Skin Advisor chat content with partner brands for their own marketing.
  • We do not ask the AI Skin Advisor to diagnose you or tell you to start, stop, or change a prescription.
  • We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address to use the AI Skin Advisor.

Consent and withdrawal

Before chatting, you must affirmatively consent to Azeva collecting and using Skin Advisor messages and to Azeva sharing chat content with service providers, including an AI model provider, so the feature can work. You can withdraw future consent by not using the advisor. You can request access or deletion through azeva.com/privacy/delete-my-data or by contacting us.

Consumer health data rights

Skin Advisor messages may be consumer health data under laws such as the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar state privacy laws. Your rights to confirm, access, delete, withdraw consent, and appeal are described in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Children

The AI Skin Advisor is intended for adults 18 and older. Do not use it to submit information about children or teens.
